Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 30, 2026
GigMatch LLC ("GigMatch," "we," "us," or "our") operates the GigMatch mobile application (the "App"), which helps you discover earning opportunities and track the income you earn from them. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address (and, for Sign in with Apple, your name on first sign-in) from that provider's authentication service.
- Eligibility information: If your access to the App is provided through an employer, plan sponsor, or other organization, we may collect a work or organization email address in order to verify your eligibility to use the App.
- Profile information: First name, last name, phone number, age range, and zip code. Age is collected only as a broad range (for example, "35–44"); we do not collect your date of birth or exact age.
- Assets: Which types of assets you own (e.g., car, house, bicycle, camera), selected from predefined categories. We do not collect detailed specifications such as make, model, or year.
- Skills and interests: Work skills and personal interests you select from predefined categories, as well as any custom skills or interests you enter as free text.
- Work preferences: Scheduling availability (days and hours), work-from-home preference, and collaboration preferences.
- Financial goals and income: Monthly income goals, savings goals, and self-reported gig income entries (amounts, the gig platform or source, dates, and optional notes). These are figures you enter manually; the App does not connect to your bank, retirement, payroll, or other financial accounts, and we do not collect account numbers, card numbers, or similar financial-account information.
- Profile photo: If you choose to upload one from your device's photo library.
- Support requests: If you contact us through the App, we collect the message you send and basic information about your app version, operating system, and device model to help us resolve your issue.
- Consent records: Whether you accepted the privacy policy, terms of service, and marketing communications opt-in, and when.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and interaction data: Screens viewed, features used, gig matches you like or dislike, articles you read or bookmark, and other actions taken within the App. This data is collected via our analytics provider (PostHog) and is associated with your account.
- Crash and error data: When errors occur, our crash reporting service (Sentry) collects diagnostic information including error details, your user ID, email address, and IP address to help us identify and fix issues. Sentry also records session replays — visual recordings of app interactions, with on-screen text and images masked — for a portion of sessions and for sessions in which an error occurs, to help us diagnose problems.
- Device and connection information: We may collect your IP address and basic device information (such as device model and operating system version) when you use the App or contact support, for security, troubleshooting, and fraud-prevention purposes.
- Push notification token: If you enable notifications, we collect a push notification token associated with your device so that we can send you reminders and relevant updates. This token is provided through Expo's push notification service. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- Location (derived): We derive your approximate geographic location (city and coordinates) from the zip code you provide. We do not use GPS or real-time location tracking.
Information we do NOT collect:
- GPS or real-time location data
- Contacts or calendar data
- Device advertising identifiers (IDFA or Android Advertising ID)
- Payment card or bank account information, account numbers, or Social Security numbers
